Jesus and the Severity of Sin

This week, Pastor Brian covers Matthew 5:27–30 and addresses the issue of adultery. He notes that Jesus uses adultery as a basis for talking very dramatically about sin. He concludes, “Adultery, in so many ways, illustrates the true destructive nature of sin. All around us, we see the wreckage and brokenness it causes. And yet Jesus is able to forgive, heal, and restore.” How? By heart renewal through a genuine commitment to following Jesus and living the way he’s taught and shown us to live.
