The Jonah Challenge, Lesson 6

Cheryl Brodersen, Angie Emma
February 26, 2021

The book of Jonah wraps up with a plant, a worm, and a wind—all special tools prepared by God to bring about heart-change in His angry prophet. Have you ever questioned God’s judgment or thought your way was better than His? Jonah didn’t agree with God’s ways, and reacted in anger at God’s compassion on an undeserving people. He cared more about a plant—and his own comfort—than the salvation of a nation. But God didn’t give up on Jonah, and He doesn’t give up on us! His relentless love pursues us until it pierces our hearts and transforms us into ambassadors of His love.
