The Jonah Challenge, Lesson 1

January 15, 2021

Do we ever hear a word from God, and try to hide from it because it seems too hard? Obedience can be costly! In this discussion, we looked at God’s word to His prophet Jonah to get up and go to Nineveh; Jonah’s immediate response was to run in the opposite direction. We saw the widespread consequences of Jonah’s unwillingness to hear God’s Word, obey God’s call, and represent Him well to others. We were encouraged that our witness to the world matters, especially in the midst of a storm. The world needs the hope that we have in Jesus; the world needs truth!
