1 Kings 19:9-18

In this message, Cheryl Brodersen shares with us about Elijah’s encounter with God on Mt. Horeb. After his fearful flight from Jezebel, Elijah is left feeling disappointed, discouraged, and depressed. God reveals Himself to Elijah not in the wind, not in the fire, not in the earthquake, but in the still, small voice asking, “What are you doing here?” We will see how God asks the questions that inspire introspection, initiate conversation, and invite us to confession. He asks them in the still, small voice of grace, compassion, and gentleness, so that we may also echo the same voice to those around us who need to experience God in the same way that Elijah did.
