People often see the Trinity as too hard to understand or too controversial. But this doctrine is a distinctive of Christianity. The Trinitarian revelation was not a theological difficulty for the first Christians; instead, it was the complete revelation of the nature of God that had been hinted at and alluded to from the beginning.
