Historically, Christians have called this day Holy Saturday, but for many of us, we’ve skipped over the weight of the day between Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Sofiah McKeown encourages you to spend time today working through the spiritual practice of contemplative prayer. To pause and reflect amidst the tension, she has found this practice useful:
1. Settle into a time of quietness with God.
2. Say to God, “Here I am. I am with You.” Be with God. Welcome Him with open arms.
3. Be in the moment without controlling or influencing it. Give God the gift of your love and presence. Do not strive.
4. Be with God in loving attentiveness.
