Heavy Tidings

Jeroboam had once created false gods for the people to worship. But when his son became deathly ill, Jeroboam didn't seek help from those false gods. Instead, he disguised his wife as a peasant and sent her to seek help from God's prophet, Ahijah.

And so it was, when Ahijah heard the sound of her footsteps as she came through the door, he said, "Come in, wife of Jeroboam. Why do you pretend to be another person? For I have been sent to you with bad news." 1 Kings 14:6
